What the heck is "the cloud"?

While surfing the internet, reading the newspaper or just watching the television you maybe have come across the buzz term “the cloud”, but you may not know just how vast the universe of cloud computing has become. The cloud is quickly becoming the predominant access and data storage route for businesses as well as the general public, as the cloud offers users the ability to access and store data while running many computers, devices, programs or business apps at the same time allowing for constant data changes on the fly.

 

There is a wide variety of well-known cloud services that are currently available to the general public.

From a basic free account generally used for storage of up to 15GB of free documents, photos and music offered by Google and Apple and various others.

 

Another cloud based service is (CRM) customer relationship management, CRM cloud services offer all facets of sales and customer services data to be stored, monitored and adjusted in real time. This type of service is also known as a software as a service (SaaS).  

 

And finally SOAP Vault,. SOAP Vault is cloud based SOAP notes which allow massage therapist, physiotherapist and chiropractors the tools for charting and documenting clinicalSOAP notes electronically by using the format of subjective, objective, analysis (assessment) and plan. for clinics to store and retrieve clinical notes for. These cloud services cater to different users, allowing them to share, edit and produce documents, charts, presentations in real time from anywhere with an internet connection while using the same principle.
